When the Weather Works its Magic: A Wedding to Remember

Some might say we had the worst weather, but I’m convinced it was actually the best kind of weather—the kind that creates memories you’ll never forget and photos that leave you breathless.

This unforgettable day unfolded at the beautiful Blue Knob Ski Lift, where rain clouds danced around us like a perfectly timed symphony. Every time we stepped outside, the rain held back, as though granting us a temporary reprieve. And the second we moved indoors? The skies opened up again in dramatic fashion.

The highlight of the evening? Just when we thought the weather had given us all it could, the clouds parted, and the sky exploded into an intense burst of orange hues. It was as if the universe decided to gift this incredible couple with a scene straight out of a dream. The ski lift silhouetted against the fiery sky made for one of the most jaw-dropping backdrops I’ve ever captured.

I’ll admit it—I screamed. (Okay, maybe I screamed a lot.) It was one of those moments that reminds you why you love what you do, why photography is more than just a job. It’s about freezing those fleeting, extraordinary moments in time—the kind you look back on and say, “That was magic.”
